The tulsi beads are made from wood or the seeds of the plant. Tulsi (Holy Basil) is considered to be one of the most sacred plants in Indian worship. Hindus view Tulsi as a goddess (a manifestation of Lakshmi) in the form of a plant bestowed with great spiritual and healing powers.

I have discovered these tulsi beads in Varanasi, and I really love to work with them, They are very soft and light at the same time they don’t break. The natural brown colour is fantastic.
